Why this site exists

Most owners can tell you whether last Saturday was busy. Fewer can tell you, without a scramble, whether food cost drifted, whether cash will last through a slow quarter, or whether a lender will even look at DSCR. That gap is expensive. It shows up as surprise tax bills, panicked price cuts, and loan applications that stall in the first underwriting email.

Know Your Numbers is the tool we wanted for that gap: pick the industry that matches how you make money, land on a typical profile instead of a blank spreadsheet, correct the guesses, and see a scoreboard with the formulas written down. It is one of five Arnali calculators on this domain — not the whole company.

Who publishes it

arnali.com is owned and published by Arnali, Inc. The calculators, benchmark table, and coaching copy are maintained as a single product so the restaurant page and the rental page do not drift into contradictory math.

We do not sell software subscriptions and we do not take a cut of loans. The site is free to use. Advertising supports hosting. That is disclosed because it should be obvious how a free tool stays online.

How we write the educational copy

Each industry guide on this site uses a specific, invented-but-realistic worked example (a 38-seat cafe, a duplex, a two-truck fleet, and so on). Those examples are not scraped from another publisher. They exist so you can follow arithmetic on a page even if you never type your own numbers.

BizLearn articles define the same KPIs the calculator uses. Formal definition, plain English, a worked example, and a short quiz are the default shape. We would rather publish a clear formula than a motivational paragraph. If a definition is wrong, email hello@arnali.com with the page URL and the correction — we update copy when we are wrong.

Other tools on this domain

They share a no-account rule and the same contact address. They do not share formulas. A restaurant food-cost page is not a house-versus-SPY ribbon, and neither is a 1031 clock.

What we will not do

We will not store your books on our servers. We will not tell you a loan is approved. We will not replace a CPA, an attorney, or a lender’s credit policy. We will not lock ratios behind an account wall. If a page on this site is only a form with two sentences of explanation, that is a bug — the calculator URLs are supposed to teach the metric, not only collect inputs.
